Yes. You must be a native English speaker from the following countries: USA, Canada, UK, Australia, Ireland, South Africa and New Zealand. This is NOT our policy…it is the policy of the Korean Government. No other countries will qualify for a teaching visa. A valid passport from one of these countries is required.
There are absolutely no exceptions. Please do not apply if you are not from one of these countries, regardless of education, English skill, or experience. These are the rules set forth by South Korean immigration, and they are not bent.
